Hausner’s kindergarten through 8th grade physical education program focuses on the whole child. We begin with providing elementary students with fun, dynamic activities aimed at increasing physical fitness and improving hand-eye coordination and gross motor skills. As we introduce younger students to the basic rules of team sports, we work on developing social and problem-solving skills – all while having fun!
Our after-school enrichment program offers students an extensive variety of on-campus, after-school enrichment activities. Not only do we offer an inter-scholastic sports program through the Small School Intermediate League (see Athletics in top navigation bar), we also have kindergarten through 5th grade aftercare, Middle School Homework Club, and chugim (enrichment) classes.
Parent Kesher (Hebrew for “connection”) is the kindergarten through 8th grade organization that supports the school and creates the critical connection between parents, teachers, staff, and our children. We are at the heart of the parent-teacher system of cooperation.
School Lunch Program
Hausner students enjoy fresh, nutritious meals from our new state-of-the-art kosher kitchen in our onsite school lunch and snack program. Our goal is to provide students with well-balanced meals that support growth and give them the energy and focus they need in the classroom and on the playing field. Seasonal menus prepared from scratch include fresh vegetables, fruit and whole grains. Students enjoy healthy snacks and a variety of lunchtime options, including soups, a salad bar, and a choice of entrees. Importantly, the program honors the diverse dietary needs of our students and the dietary rules of our campus.
